About

Previously, www.ianpurugganan.com was about anything I found interesting on the interweb, but since gaining an interest in photography, I have now decided to reboot my personal webpage and dedicate it to my most expensive hobby to date.

"You don't take a photograph, you make it." --Ansel Adams

Ever since, I've always loved looking at images and pictures, but now I myself am learning how to make them.

My first purchase was a Nikon d5100 which I liked very much due to the ease of use but things got a little bit technical when I had a photography crash course from a friend. I moved over to Canon with the powerhouse 7D and loved it so much I sold it later on for my current camera body, the 5D Mark III which is a very brilliant piece of work. Current lenses are the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD and a prime Canon EF 50mm f/1.8.

I love shooting landscapes as it captures the wondrous works of the Master Artist, but would like to cover events and take portraits too when given the opportunity. I am currently residing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia so if you're ever in my neighborhood hook me up on facebook or on twitter.

Also, if you would like to use and/or purchase an image, do email me the details at kipurugganan@gmail.com.

I a disabled veteran and was looking to blow up your photo to make a back drop of my Christmas Village Filipino. This exactly what I am looking for mountains, rice fields... Cagayan Valley.. Request permission to use your photo and I was wondering if you could email me the original electronic version. The place that blows photo's up needs it.. Thanks.. Joe K
